our story…

What do you guys do in there for hours on end?

Pilots get asked this a lot, and the short answer is that once the airplane is en route, autopilot engaged, and routine checks completed, not a great deal!

As for myself I’d generally do one of 4 things

  1. Watch the world roll beneath the nose of the airplane (Difficult over the Atlantic)

  2. Watch the distance to the destination slowly count down

  3. Try to figure out what the Italian air traffic controllers are shouting at me

  4. Draw and design things

As you could probably imagine after 5 years of flying the first 3 options can become a bit tedious so on long flights I often doodle ideas of the things I would like to make. Using scraps of paper, backs of flight plans and dinner boxes often explaining to captains that the way to take over the world is by making “this special wrist watch style hand sanitiser bottle”, “this attachment for a lawnmower” or this “door handle opening device” (annoyingly someone actually made this and made a LOT of money, gutted). I would bring some of these designs home to Amelia and she would either nod in silence or ignore me altogether, that was until I designed aviation related gifts, her eyes lit up and that said it all.

In early 2023 I bought a small  laser cutting machine and some of my ideas came to life. I produced key-rings, wall art, Christmas decorations, trophies, light-boxes and my personal favourite an illuminated Guinness clock. Amelia and I would sit in our small flat making designs for family, agility clubs and friends. One evening we came up with an idea to post on a busy Easyjet Crew facebook page and interest grew. It’s safe to say that I got the bug for business.

In December 2023 one of our friends joined us in the skies so I decided to draw her an aircraft picture as a present. We posted it to Instagram and quickly received messages asking for their own personalised prints.

That then brought us to TikTok, with some help from fellow crew our page has slowly grown and our name has made its way over to other airlines.

We look forward to bringing many more of my ideas to life and offering lots of special aviation gifts in the future.

We would really appreciate all of your support by following us on Instagram and TikTok.
